Welcome to Ipswich School

We strive to put care and compassion into all our activities, both inside and outside the classroom, and so encourage children to realise their potential, to grow and excel in all they do.

Ipswich School

The Preparatory School was established in 1883 with the aim of preparing children aged 7-11 for entry into the Senior School. In September 1996 the Nursery – Year 2 - building was opened and the new building for Years 3 – 6 was completed in 2006. Whilst providing an excellent education for 3-11 year olds in our outstanding purpose built facilities, we also enjoy the closeness in proximity of Ipswich School and all the Senior School has to offer.

Ipswich School

First recorded in 1399, the Senior School provides pupils with an environment where they feel safe and brave in all they do.  We believe that school should be an enjoyable place where pupils receive a broad education that fires their imagination and develops their personality.  High academic expectations are complemented by the development of values and skills which we believe will enable pupils to be happy in their success at Ipswich School and beyond.
