Welcome to Ipswich School

We strive at all times to create a nurturing environment inside and outside the classroom, encouraging our children to discover their talents and self-esteem in a wide range of academic and cultural activities.

Ipswich School

The Preparatory School was established in 1883 with the aim of preparing children aged 7-11 for entry into the Senior School. In September 1996 the Nursery – Year 2 - building was opened and the new building for Years 3 – 6 was completed in 2006. Whilst providing an excellent education for 3-11 year olds in our outstanding purpose built facilities, we also enjoy the closeness in proximity of Ipswich School and all the Senior School has to offer.

Ipswich School

First recorded in 1399, the Senior School offers pupils a supportive environment that encourages them to enjoy learning, grow in self-confidence and acquire a wide range of interests. We believe that school should be a happy place where pupils receive a broad education that fires their imagination and develops their personality. High academic expectations are complemented by the development of values and skills that give them firm foundations for adult life.
