 School Life

Our children's academic achievements reflect the school's success in creating an atmosphere where learning is respected, encouraged and achieved.  We have high expectations of behaviour and concentration in the classroom. Children are taught in  small classes and the children's positive attitude, a sense of co-operation, and our excellent pastoral system support this ethos.

We monitor progress carefully and believe in keeping parents well-informed, as well as encouraging children to take responsibility for their own learning and progress.

Motivation is vital, and enjoyment of school life goes hand in hand with academic success.  That is why children's happiness at Ipswich School and their involvement in extra-curricular activities matter so much to us.

Praise and encouragement are essential ingredients, and we seek out opportunities to affirm progress, achievement and commitment.
