Aravon Prep and Junior Reunion. “Calling all Aravon past pupils”. ‘Aravon celebrates its Sesquicentennial (150 years) next year and would like to contact as many of its past pupils as possible. News of Members
OI Philip Morgan (91-98) changes career and becomes author and photographer. After studying law for five years after leaving School and going on to have a very successful career in the legal sector, Philip had a complete change of career to became a successful author and photographer. Philip’s book ‘Discover the Suffolk Coast ‘was published by Halsgrove on the 23rd August this year and is a mix of good quality photographs and informative writing. The book includes the history of the towns and villages along the coast as well as the significant events and people that lived there, and also things to see and do! The book is on sale in various stores including Waterstones and W H Smith. Philip has also produced a beautiful 2012 Calendar with images of the Suffolk Coast. The calendar is available for £6.50 and Philip is donating part of the proceeds from the sale to the School. OI Jack Hawkins (96-04), another former Head Boy, appeared in Birdsong in the West End directed by Trevor Nunn. A story about love, courage and the endurance of the human spirit is brought to the stage in a version by Rachel Wagstaff. The play was on at The Comedy Theatre until the end of January this year.
