Personal Development Overview
Courtesy, good manners, respect and consideration for others, together with self-discipline are important aspects of a child's education. The school encourages children to treat others as they would wish to be treated themselves. They are supported in this by the provision of a friendly environment in which they are valued and trusted and where they are encouraged to develop self-esteem. Staff actively seek opportunities to praise and reward children for good work and behaviour. Personal development is fostered both in school and through a programme of visits, one of the highlights being a residential course in the summer holiday following Year 5.
