The main ages for admission are 11+ (into Year 7), 13+ (into Year 9) and 16+ (into the sixth form) (hotlink to 6th form prospectus download) although it is sometimes possible to join in Year 8 or 10. The school year begins in early September and it is highly desirable that new pupils should join us then. There are entrance exams for all year groups, except the sixth form, where admission is based on a school report and predicted GCSE grades (or the equivalent, for overseas students).
