Sport has a very strong reputation at Ipswich School, both within the school itself and also throughout the county, the region and, increasingly, nationally.
Our excellence at a competitive level works hand in hand with a very strong school ethos of embracing the ‘sport for all’ concept. We cater for and actively encourage those seeking recognition at representative level and have several internationals at the school. At the same time we support those who just wish to take part in sport or to realise their own goals. Our top coaches work closely with teams at all levels to try and give every pupil exposure to specialist coaching. We are committed to encouraging high standards of sporting conduct and we work closely with our most talented games players to achieve a balance between their school sport, their studies and their external commitments.
